Fallen Brothers is an all volunteer, non profit Washington State Corporation founded by Sid and Hilda Andrews.

Our mission is to honor and help support our troops and all types of veterans and veteran's organizations no matter where they may be. Also to help supply food to food banks and other feeding programs to help to feed the homeless and the needy by gathering surplus food from local merchants and deliver it to...

When Brothers Fall

The Veteran memorial song WHEN BROTHERS FALL was written in a fox hole in Kuwait by US Marine Cpl Matt Coolidge. He wrote this song shortly after attending a short memorial service for seven of his fallen buddies during the first Gulf War.

When my wife and I first heard a tape of the song " WHEN BROTHERS FALL" I had a FLASH BACK. After being a Medical Corpsman in the islands of the Pacific during World War Two and not having a flash back for over fifty (50) years, I knew then that the song "WHEN BROTHERS FALL" was a healing song for veterans and their families.

We asked Matt if we could make CDs off of the tape and donate them to Chaplains in the Military and Chaplains of first responders, to be used in memorial services of the fallen and give copies of the CDs to the families as a tribute. His response and I quote...

"YOU SURE CAN, IT IS FOR A GOOD CAUSE THAT I BELIEVE TO MANY PEOPLE, DUE TO THEIR OWN IGNORANCE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT AND WHEN THEY DON'T KNOW THEY DON'T CARE. HOPEFULLY THIS SONG WILL GAIN INTEREST IN THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS, SHEDDING SOME LIGHT ON THE REAL HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY AND THOSE WHO FOUGHT TO KEEP THEM FREE."

This song is now in six foreign countries ( including Iraq), all most every state in the United States, was used in NY for 911 and is in Arlington Memorial Cemetery. To date, we have donated all most ten thousand (10,000) CDs as a tribute to the fallen and their families from former US Marine Cpl Matt Coolidge ( our grandson), my wife ( of 62 yrs) Hilda and myself.
